Aphelion

You are the last human alive on an abandoned space station named Aphelion with only an AI companion to guide you. Armed with a pair of manipulation gloves, you will have to manipulate the scale and energy of objects to solve puzzles and make your way around Aphelion to escape its certain destruction.

Gameplay

• Explore an environment that combines retro sci-fi with modern sensibilities.

• Use your abilities to scale objects up and down and revert energy from one power source to another.

• Along your journey, the fully-voiced AI will accompany you and provide useful tips and insights into the station's history.

Aphelion is a 3D VR exploration game made using Unreal Engine 4. It is being developed by a group of second-year students as their vertical slice project.

• Left Analog-stick: Motion/Snap Rotation function

• Y/B: Pull a Long Grabbed object towards you
• X/A: Toggles the Edit mode

• Left/Right Trigger button hold: Initiate Short Grab mode
• Left/Right Grip button hold: Initiate Long Grab mode
• Left/Right Grip and Trigger button hold: Grab small objects

• Rotating the left controller counterclockwise while Editing: Absorb Energy
• Rotating the left controller clockwise while Editing: Distribute Energy
• Rotating the right controller counterclockwise while Editing: Scales Object Down
• Rotating the right controller clockwise while Editing: Scales Object Up

The game runs on PC while it utilizes the Oculus Quest 2 headset and controllers. It's important to note that you cannot play this game directly from your headset. You'll need to link your headset with a compatible PC through a supported USB-C cable or a wireless connection via Wi-Fi.
